Crème Fraiche

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons buttermilk
One day ahead, stir together heavy cream and buttermilk in a medium bowl, cover with a lid or towel, and set it aside at room temperature to rest until it has thickened. Stir and chill.
