Blackberry Mojito

5mint leaves
2teaspoons granulated sugar
3large fresh blackberries
3ounces white rum
½ounce crème de mure
1teaspoon confectioners sugar
ice cubes
3 to 4ounces club soda, chilled
Fresh mint, for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, crush the mint leaves and sugar together with the back of a spoon, add the blackberries, and crush. Add rum, crème de mure, confectioners sugar, and ice, cover, and shake until the mixture is chilled. Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice, fill the glass with club soda, and stir gently.

Yield: 1 cocktail
