Green Beans with Bacon

- 10 green beans per serving, rinsed
- ½ strip of bacon per serving
- olive oil
- 1 to 2 large cloves garlic, diced
- Coarse salt
Par boil beans 5 to 6 minutes (7-8 minutes at high altitude) until they are crisp-tender; drain. Wrap groups of 10 beans in a half strip of bacon and place them on a cookie sheet seam side down.
Lightly brush the beans with olive oil and sprinkle them with salt and chopped garlic.
Position the oven rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat the broiler to lower convection heat if available. Broil the beans 3 to 5 minutes until the bacon is cooked, taking care not to burn the beans.
Serve immediately.
