Smoky BBQ Sauce

- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 3 large cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1 ¾ cups ketchup
- ¼ cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon Worchestershire
Preheat a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add oil, and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan. Add garlic, saute 30 seconds, then stir in ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, vinegar, Liquid Smoke, smoked paprika, and Worchestershire, , stirring well to mix. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce may be made several days ahead, covered, and chilled.
